Boys Soccer: Upper St. Clair unbeaten, unscored upon

Written by Brad Everett on .

Upper St. Clair has been playing some great soccer this season.

In fact, the Panthers have been perfect.

Five games. Five wins. Zero goals allowed. That's the scoreline so far for Upper St. Clair, which has been awfully impressive playing in one of the most challenging sections in the state. The Panthers are 3-0 in Class 4A Section 2.

The Panthers haven't been offensive juggernauts, but they've scored timely goals and have been outstanding defensively. They've outscored their opponents, 9-0, in their five games. Senior goalkeeper Mac Dominick has posted five shutouts.

Girls Tennis: Upper St. Clair in a different position

Written by Keith Barnes on .

This time of the year is usually when Upper. St. Clair is gearing up for a run in the WPIAL Class 3A playoffs.

When the season ends next week, however, the Panthers will be in the mix, but not a favorite to move on to the state tournament.

On Monday, Upper St. Clair lost a 4-1 decision to Mt. Lebanon and that on the heels of a defeat at the hands of Peters Township last week. Those two losses will likely move the Panthers down to a third-place qualifier in the WPIAL tournament and, likely, no higher than a No. 7 seed.

Upper St. Clair can still make an impression on the steering committee if it defeats Montour on Monday.
