Alumni Update: Katie Gattuso (Seton Hill)

Seton Hill junior forward Katie Gattuso was named to the 2012-13 Daktronics All-Atlantic Region Women's Basketball Team as a second-team selection. Gattuso was the first Griffins basketball player to earn all-region honors since Seton Hill joined the NCAA.

Gattuso, a Seton-LaSalle graduate, was an All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first-team selection who also earned the WVIAC Tournament Sportsmanship Award. She was also named to the All WVIAC Tournament Team.

Her averages of 17.6 points and 11.3 rebounds per game rank 44th and 11th, respectively, in the country. She also led the WVIAC in rebounding at 11.3 rebounds per game.

She has recorded 21 double-doubles this season (32 games) – the second-most recorded by a NCAA Division II player. She also led the WVIAC in double-[doubles.

Gattuso was also a four time WVIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award winner.
