Alumni Update: Katie Gattuso (Seton Hill)

Seton Hill junior forward Katie Gattuso was named West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The Seton-LaSalle High School graduate helped guide the Griffins to a 3-0 mark since Dec. 17. Her stellar play has led SHU to seven consecutive victories on the year while picking up her second Player of the Week accolade.

In a win over Puerto Rico-Bayamon, Gattuso totaled 17 points to go along with 16 rebounds. She followed with 10 points and 12 rebounds against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras.

After a 10-day break, Gattuso picked up right where she left off, posting 16 points and grabbing 16 boards in a home victory over Notre Dame College.

Gattuso shot just under 50 percent from the field and added eight assists during the two week period.
