In her final chance to do so, Quaker Valley senior Haley Ashner qualified for the PIAA diving championships and Wednesday, Ashner made the most of it. At the WPIAL diving championships Ashner finished seventh with a score of 304.95.

At the PIAA championships at Bucknell University, Ashner finished 11th with a score of 315.95.

Not only did she improve her overall score but she improved her performance against her peers. After being the seventh best diver in the WPIAL two weeks ago, she was the fifth best WPIAL diver at states, finishing ahead of Deer Lakes senior Rachel Rice (292.15) and Riverside sophomore Brittany Hard (211.65), two divers who had placed ahead of her at the WPIAL finals.
