Boys Lacrosse: Peters Township twins commit to same college

Written by Brad Everett on .

Peters Township's Clayton and Tanner Scott have a lot in common.

It sort of goes along with being twins.

One of the similarities is they are both excellent lacrosse players, and that has helped play a part in something they will share in the future.

The two will be college teammates.

Clayton and Tanner tweeted Thursday that they have verbally committed to NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology). NJIT is located in Newark, N.J. and fields a Division I men's lacrosse program.

"Very excited to say me and @cl4ytonscott have verbally committed to play lacrosse at New Jersey Institute of Technology!!!" -- @tanmann28 (Tanner Scott)

The Scotts will be seniors at Peters Township this fall. Next spring, the two will try to help the Indians defend a WPIAL title for the first time. Last month, Peters Township defeated section rival Mt. Lebanon, 12-11, in overtime to win the WPIAL Class 3A championship. The title was the first in program history. Clayton Scott scored two goals in the final.
