Penn Hills basketball team achieved first playoff appearance in four years

Head coach John Tate explained that the girls’ basketball team did not take much time off going into the playoffs.

“They got a two day break, which I’m sure they enjoyed,”’ he said. But once playoff week hit, they got right back to work. Tate expected the Indians would play early. Surely enough, they took on Norwin on Friday night. Game results and current information can be found on the Penn Hills page at Post-Gazette NOW.

The huge thing  for Penn Hills was that making the playoffs went far beyond the team.

“It’s the first time in four years,” Tate said. “The whole school is excited.”
