Track: Obama’s Jackson wins two golds at City League championships

Written by Brad Everett on .

Dorian Jackson wasn't satisfied with winning just one gold medal at the City League championships.

Winning two was much better.

It was a breakout performance for Jackson, a sophomore at Obama who won two sprint titles in the event held last week at Oliver High School. Jackson claimed top honors in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Jackson won the 100 with a time of 11.29 and the 200 with a time of 23.30.

Jackson was one of four boys to win two individual titles. The others were Allderdice's Tavonne Davis, Reise Brooks and Dorian Hardy.
