Best, a Norwin graduate, was the goalkeeper of record in both of W&J’s matches last week, logging a total of 200 minutes in net. Best stopped eight shots to help the Presidents hang on for a 3-2 victory over Bethany College last Wednesday and made four saves to earn the ninth solo shutout of his career in Saturday’s 0-0 double overtime draw at Thiel College.
Best finished the regular season as the starting goalkeeper in all nine Presidents’ shutouts. His 165 career saves ranks eighth all-time in the W&J record book.
