By now you know that USC had a chance to tie North Allegheny at the buzzer. But a missed three-point attempt led to a 40-37 win for the Tigers. The thing you should see is how physical and well-played this game was:
Both teams played AS teams – with six players in scoring columns and everybody tough on defense. North Allegheny took advantage of a few more free throws than USC. The Tigers were 11-for-14, and the Panthers were 4-for 6.
Abby Gonzales and Taylor Lake each scored 10 points for North Allegheny. Six of Lake’s points were made on seven free-throw attempts.
Similarly, Jordan Serio scored 11 points for USC. She was 3-for-3 on free throw attempts.
