Two years ago as a sophomore, Josh Singley scored a hat trick in the PIHL Class AA All-Star game.
On Sunday, making his third straight all-star appearance, Singley once again stood out.
The Latrobe senior scored two goals and added an assist to help the Northeast team to a 7-4 victory.
He said the prior experience in the game made him more comfortable on the ice.
“I was definitely more prepared and more relaxed,” Singley said. “I came in just trying to have fun and it ended up working out well for me.”
It helped that Singley knew his linemates well. He was paired with his Latrobe teammate, Adam Ferguson, and Gateway forward Taylor Siwik. Singley said he and Siwik have played together before.
“I think there was some chemistry between me, Taylor and Adam and it ended up working out really well for us,” Singley said.
