Background: Miller finished his high school cross country season on Saturday at the PIAA Championships in Hershey with a finish of 17:27. Miller’s 103rd place finish did not reflect his outstanding efforts in the touch Class AAA. Miller was one of two Cavaliers competing in the state meet. Miller qualified for the state meet after finishing 18th at the Class AAA WPIAL Championships with a time of 16:49. Miller’s best effort came at the Westmoreland County Coaches Association where he took first place with a time of 16:52.40. Miller has narrowed his college choices next year down to Lock Haven and Saint Francis. He plans to run both track and cross country wherever he chooses.
Kiski coach Tom Berzonsky: “I think he ran a good race. He probably left his best effort of the course. He is a three time state qualifier which is a great accomplishment.”
