In just three seasons, Kiski Area wrestler Noah Levett has racked up more than 100 wins and has helped his team win a WPIAL championship.
As you might expect, that success attracted the attention of college programs.
Levett verbally committed to one of them last month.
After completing his senior year in 2017-18, Levett will wrestle collegiately at Bucknell.
Levett has put together an excellent high school career. He wrestled at 126 pounds as a junior and had his best season yet, finishing with a record of 40-10 and concluding his season as the WPIAL Class AAA runner-up and the PIAA sixth-place finisher. Levett lost to Franklin Regional star Spencer Lee in the WPIAL final. He fell to eventual champion Austin DeSanto of Exeter Township in the PIAA semifinals. Levett and Kiski Area defeated Canon-McMillan, 41-21, to win its third WPIAL title.
Levett has a career record of 115-28. He went 33-8 as a freshman and 42-10 as a sophomore.
Bucknell has a very good wrestling program. The Bison finished 12-4 last season and has had a winning record three years in a row. The current roster boasts five former WPIAL wrestlers: Franklin Regional's Tyler Smith, Norwin's Drew Phipps, Belle Vernon's Mitch Hartman, Burrell's Zach Kelly and Pine-Richland's David Kelly.
