Alumni Update - Cambrya Jones (Pitt)
Pitt senior Cambrya Jones, a Woodland Hills High School graduate, narrowly missed qualifying for the 200-meter dash finals as she finished ninth (22.76) in the 200-meter prelims at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Des Moines, Iowa.This season she broke school records in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes while winning the Big East Outdoor Championship in both events and claiming the ECAC title in the 100-meter dash.
Jones is still set to compete in the U.S.A. Olympic Team Trials from June 22-25 in Eugene, Ore.
"Cambrya had an incredible season," Pitt head coach Alonzo Webb said. "She wanted to have a great senior year and was very focused all season. I'm really proud of her efforts and she set the standard on what is expected now."
