Winchester Thurston loses in PIAA team tennis tournament

Chris Adamski's feature on the Winchester Thurston tennis team as they end the 2012 season:

"When Gabe Isaacson was a freshman, he played on the girls tennis team for Winchester Thurston.

The following year, Winchester Thurston had a club boys tennis team.

These past two seasons, the Bears have had a PIAA championship tournament-caliber team.

Winchester Thurston made it two years, two PIAA Class AA tournament berths when it took third place in the WPIAL Class AA tournament last week.

"Remembering playing girls tennis as a freshman makes me even further appreciate that now I'm a member of a team that [is heading] to the state championships twice in two years," said Isaacson, the Bears' first singles player."
