Perry placed fifth with a time of 41.86 seconds in the Class AA boys' 300-meter hurdle race at last Thursday's WPIAL individual championships. Only the top two finishers in the event qualified for the state meet, however. Those two athletes were:

Washington's Dustin Fuller (38.50 seconds - meet record)
South Side's Dylan Price (40.75 seconds)

The qualifying time for the PIAA state meet in the Class AA 300 hurdles was 40.80.
