West Mifflin alumnus now a football starter at PSU
"UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- It's clear that offensive tackle Adam Gress has bought into Penn State's new strength and conditioning program.
At the onset of spring practice, first-year coach Bill O'Brien praised Gress, a former all-state player at West Mifflin Area High School, for his hard work in the weight room during winter workouts.
New strength coach Craig Fitzgerald recently went as far to say Gress "looked like an NFL lineman," which is high praise considering Gress has yet to start a collegiate game.
Gress, who will be a redshirt junior in the fall, is well on his way to earning a starting job in 2012. He has parlayed a strong offseason into a spot as the Nittany Lions' first-team left tackle in spring practice, which culminated last Saturday with the annual Blue-White Game at Beaver Stadium."
