West Allegheny hockey team to take it one game at a time

Written by Ryan Riordan on .

It would be easy for the West Allegheny hockey team to look ahead.

The Indians are the defending Class AA Penguins Cup champions, and despite losing a lot of talent, will be one of the favorites to win the title again this season.

But West Allegheny coach Timon Veach doesn’t want his team to look that far ahead. He wants the team to take it one game at a time.

“We have to ready to play every night,” Veach said. “We have to show up for every game and be ready to play.”

Veach mentioned how his team didn’t come ready to play against Kiski Area last season and just beat the Cavaliers 3-2. Kiski was 3-17-1 last season.

West Allegheny will take the ice for the first time this season tonight when it plays conference rival Moon at 8:40 p.m.
