Alumni Update - Rick Devereaux (Pitt)

Pitt senior first baseman Rick Devereaux, a West Allegheny High School graduate, was named All-Big East First Team in baseball following a vote of the league’s 12 head coaches.

Devereaux earns his first Big East postseason honor. He has been the top hitter in Pitt’s lineup and one of the best hitters in the entire conference all season.

He enters postseason play with an 11-game hitting and a 19-game on-base streak, and ranks top-5 in the Big East in batting average (.371), hits (83), RBI (54) and total bases (121).

Devereaux’s season ranks well in the Pitt history books. On the single-season list, he ranks fourth in at-bats, fifth in hits, 11th in RBI and 13th in total bases. Twice he has earned Big East Weekly Honor Roll (Week 1 and Week 12).
