Wash High's Fuller surprises even himself at PIAA track championships

Written by Brad Everett on .

Brad Everett has the details on Washington track phenom Dustin Fuller:

"Dustin Fuller entered the spring as one of the WPIAL's top hurdlers, and had his sights set firmly and almost exclusively on successfully defending his WPIAL Class AA title in the 300-meter hurdles and grabbing a matching gold medal in the PIAA championships.

As it turns out, Fuller's expectations were way off.

"If someone would have come up to me [before the season] and told me I'd win four gold medals at WPIALs and four medals at states, I would have looked at them like they were crazy," said Fuller, a senior at Washington High School."
