Alumni Update - Anthony Saunders (Slippery Rock)

Slippery Rock junior cornerback Anthony Saunders was a second-team selection on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Football Team.

Saunders, a graduate of Valley High School, led the PSAC in passes defended with 17 (14 broken up, three interceptions). His interception total tied for the team lead and tied for eighth in the PSAC.

Saunders, The Rock's fourth leading tackler this fall with 62 total takedowns, returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Slippery Rock won four of its last five games after a 2-4 start to finish 6-5 and record its their fourth consecutive winning season. Among the 16 PSAC teams, only Slippery Rock and Bloomsburg have active streaks of at least four consecutive winning seasons.
