Chris Adamski's feature on Valley's Zarley Zalewski:

"Zarley Zalewski speaks softly -- but the stick he carried this high school baseball season was bigger than ever.

In fact, it was one of the biggest in the WPIAL.

A senior at Valley High School, Zalewski hit .574 with eight home runs, 36 RBIs, 25 runs, a .693 on-base percentage and 1.222 slugging percentage that gave him an other-worldly 1.916 on-base-plus-slugging percentage for the Vikings.

"He's a quiet guy," said Valley coach Bruce Campana, "but he's lethal.""
