"There was talk about possibly replacing the entire record board at the Upper St. Clair pool after last season.
A number of records had to be replaced after last season and the board was aging.
The school decided to hold off on the replacement ... a wise decision.
Both the boys and girls teams at Upper St. Clair are rewriting the record board once again this season. In a dual meet with Peters Township two weeks ago, the teams combined to break 17 school and pool records.
Upper St. Clair coach Tom Donati was especially happy to see two pool records broken. The 200-yard freestyle and 400 freestyle relay records had been gathering cobwebs on the board since the Bethel Park girls team set them in 1980."
