East boys’ basketball featured athlete: Trinity Christian’s James Sero
Name: James Sero
Grade: 12
High School: Trinity Christian
Sport: Basketball
Position: Guard
Background info: In a non-section game against Neighborhood Academy, Sero scored his 1,000th career point. Since that game, Sero scored 15 against Sewickley Academy and 32 against Vincentian. He is interested in playing basketball in college, and is currently considering D3 schools.
Trinity Christian head coach Paul Walendziewicz described Sero’s ability to create his own shots. “He has the ability to get open and the ability to do more with the basketball,” Walendziewicz says. Additionally, Sero is a multi-dimensional player on the Falcons’ court. He can shoot threes, slash to the hoop, make intelligent passes, and rebound solidly. “And on a good day he can dunk the ball,” says Walendziewicz. How much fun is that?
The next team with the potential to get dunked on by James Sero is Riverview tonight at 7pm.
