Thomas Jefferson hockey team leads league in goals
Defending Penguins Cup Class A champion Quaker Valley has scored 31 goals in four games.
Kittanning, who has the top two individual scorers in the PIHL Class A, has 35 goals in five games.
But neither has been as good at putting the puck in the net as Thomas Jefferson so far this season.
The Jaguars have 40 goals in five games, the best scoring average in Class A.
Multiple Thomas Jefferson players can be found on the scoring leaderboard. Zach Uhlyar, Tommy Kimmick, Brendan Mason and Matthew Bowers all have at least 10 points and all are in the top 10 in scoring in Class A. Uhlyar leads the way with 18 points, including four points in the team’s loss to Mars.
The Jaguars are currently 3-2 with losses to the Planets and Westmont Hilltop, two teams with a combined 8-3 record. One of Thomas Jefferson’s win was against Kittanning.
