Photo journal: South Park misses 2011 WPIAL Class AA girls’ soccer title

Mars defeated South Park 2-1 on Saturday, November 5, 2011. The teams were very well matched, and most of the second half played out in a 1-1 tie. With roughly 15 minutes remaining, Amber Fichter scored for Mars and the Eagles were unable to answer. A great recap can be found here. South Park is written as having a first round bye on the PIAA Class A tournament bracket, but the team is scheduled to play Harbor Creek in the quarterfinals this Saturday.
