Rich Emert has the details on the South Park Eagles' girls' cross country team's 2011 return-trip to the PIAA state meet.

"Jim Levdansky is an eighth grade America history teacher in the South Park School District and, like all good teachers, he knows it helps to have visual aids when trying to make a point.

When students walked into his classroom this past Friday, they were greeted by a WPIAL trophy.

"They were all asking, 'What's that? What's that?' and then I got to tell them how the South Park girls cross country team made some history," said Levdansky, who has coached the sport at South Park High School for 17 years."
