Alumni Update - Ken Morgan (Clarion)
Clarion senior catcher Ken Morgan, a South Fayette High School, was a first-team pick on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Pitcher of the Year in baseball.Morgan earns his second all-conference award and his first first-team selection after being named a second-team designated hitter in 2010. He was second on the team and 12th in the PSAC in average at .364 while tying for second in RBIs with 25.
Morgan's OPS was .950, and he was second on the team with 44 hits while tying for second in doubles (12) and home runs (3).
A .301 career hitter, Morgan finished his career tied with Cary Grubb for the third-most home runs in a career (13) while recording the fifth-most doubles since 1979 (27) and the seventh-most total bases since 1979 (177). His .497 career slugging percentage ranks eighth at Clarion since 1979, and is 123 games player are the ninth most ever by a Golden Eagle.
Clarion went 12-28 overall and 9-15 in the PSAC West this season.
