South Fayette girls basketball team has play-in game

South Fayette, the No. 6 team from the WPIAL in Class AAA, hosts District 9 runner-up St. Marys at 7 p.m. Tuesday on the Lions' floor.

South Fayette, 16-8, lost to eventual WPIAL Class AA runner-up South Park 62-33 in the WPIAL Class AAA quarterfinals.

St. Marys enters the game with an 11-13 record. St. Marys lost to Bradford 58-39 in the District 9 championship game.

South Fayette is outscoring its opponents 51.0 to 41.1 points per game.
