Alumni Update - Rachel Mueller (Penn State Behrend)

Penn State Behrend junior defender Rachel Mueller was a first-team selection on the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Team.

Mueller, a Shaler High School graduate, helped lead the Lions to eight shutouts and is one of six player to start all 20 games this season. Mueller also tallied the second goal of her career in a 6-1 win over Hilbert.

Mueller helps make up the defensive force in the team's 1.34 goals-against average. The team has given up just 27 goals in 20 games and posted eight shutouts.

The Lions won their second straight AMCC championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Behrend will face No. 12 William Smith in first-round action on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Geneva, N.Y.
