Shady Side Academy girls' soccer team hopes fourth time is the charm
Shady Side Academy has earned another shot at Greensburg Central Catholic.
The section rivals will square off for the fourth time this season, and the stakes have never been higher. The Indians and Centurions will meet in the PIAA Class A semifinals at Hampton High School, Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The winner will be off to Hershey for the PIAA championship game.
The Centurions defeated Shady Side Academy 4-1 and 5-0 in the regular season and 3-1 in the WPIAL semifinals.
The odds are against Shady Side Academy but it only needs to look to last season to know anything is possible. Springdale, a team who was 0-3 against Greensburg Central Catholic, stunned the Centurions in the PIAA semifinals.
