Video: Big day for Sewickley, highlights from Class AA singles day 1
After three rounds of play yesterday at Shady Side Academy, it was the two Sewickley Academy tennis teammates who made it to the final bracket. Colin Kaye and Grayson Geller will play for the WPIAL Singles Championship today at North Allegheny. A compete listing of yesterday's WPIAL singles results can be found here.
The video shows action from key matches, including a really good first round match. Greensburg Salem's Parker Jorgenson and Riverview's Griffin Conley volleyed and thundered for an hour and a half. The result was Jorgenson's 11-10 win. For Kaye and Geller, the semifinal wins were over Bentworth's Matt Lynch and Hampton's Brad Cisek. Lynch and Cisek will play against each other today in the consolation final.
