Boys Basketball: North Scouting Report - Sewickley Academy's Carrington Motley
Carrington Motley was a key contributor to Sewickley Academy teams won WPIAL Class A championships and played in PIAA title games in 2009 and '10. Now a 6-foot-4 senior, Motley the lone remaining holdover from that 2009 PIAA championship team. He is averaging a team-high 17.4 points per game for the Panthers, who are tied for second place in WPIAL Class A's most competitive section, Section 2-A.
An opposing coach in that section took the time to speak a little bit about Motley and his game:
"He's extremely athletic -- probably one of the more athletic kids in the WPIAL -- and very skillful. He has a soft touch, and he's got some decent moves. He's athletic enough that you better look out if he's on a fast break because he will dunk -- he can go up. And from what I understand, he's a great student and he comes from a very good family, too. He has so much talent that if he plays with intensity, he's hard to stop."
