"On Nov. 13, the Seneca Valley hockey team handed preseason PIHL Class AAA No. 2 team Canon-McMillan its first loss.
The team already owned a win against another top-five preseason squad, Peters Township.
The Raiders then followed the win against the Big Macs with a win against Norwin and a tie against Canon-McMillan last week. That gives Seneca Valley (3-0-1) seven points, one more than it had all of last season when it was 3-18.
"It's very important for us to get off to a good start," said Anthony Raco, in his first season as the Raiders head coach. "These are legitimate teams we are playing at the start of the season. We need to continue to do well and keep up the momentum.""
