Alumni Update - Kyle Helisek (Batavia Muckdogs)

Kyle Helisek is off to a good start to his professional baseball career.

The left-hander from Seneca Valley High School has gone 0-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two games, one start, with the St. Louis Cardinals' short-season Class A Batavia farm club in the New York-Penn League. The Cardinals selected Helisek in the 30th round of the draft last month from Villanova.

Helisek had a rocky senior season this year at Villanova. He was 3-7 with a 6.27 ERA in 15 games, 12 starts.
