Seneca Valley football tandem hot on track, too

Written by Brad Everett on .

Brad Everett has the details on Seneca Valley's Forrest Barnes and Oliver Philogene:

"On the football field, Forrest Barnes and Oliver Philogene caught more passes than any other Seneca Valley player last fall.

This spring, almost nobody can catch either one on the track.

Barnes and Philogene have had outstanding seasons and are among the favorites to win gold medals at today's WPIAL Class AAA individual track championships at Baldwin High School.

Barnes, a junior, is the speedster. He owns school records in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, and enters the WPIAL championships as the No.1 seed in the 100. Philogene, a senior, is the middle-distance guy. He holds the school record in the 400 and is the No. 1 seed in that event."
