Alumni Update - Eric Aschley (Mercyhurst)

Mercyhurst senior pitcher Eric Aschley, a Seneca Valley High School, was a second-team pick on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West baseball team.

Aschley earned Second Team honors after earning a spot on the First Team a year ago.

Aschley is 6-3 with a 3.80 earned run average this season, and has struck out 65 batters in 64 innings. Of his 11 starts this season, four have been complete games, with three of those starts being shutouts. His 65 strikeouts is currently fifth in the conference.

The Lakers enter the PSAC Tournament as the top seed in the West for the second straight year. Mercyhurst will play the fourth seed in the East, Millersville, in the team's first game of the double elimination tournament.

The tournament gets underway on Wednesday the Mercyhurst-Millersville game being the final game of day one. First pitch is scheduled to begin around 6:30 p.m. at Pullman Park in Butler.
