Plum hockey team scores late to get a point
Plum star forward Andrew Walters got a big goal in his team’s opener so it avoided a loss.
Walters, a 36-goal scorer as a junior in 2011-12, scored a power-play goal with 2:21 remaining in the third period to tie the game at three.
The score remained that way until the end, as both teams went scoreless in overtime.
Goaltender Taylor Cestra kept the Mustangs in the game, stopping 37 of the 40 shots she faced.
Joe Randazzo scored Plum’s other two goals.
