Richey, Kessy leading way for Pine-Richland hockey team

Written by Ryan Riordan on .

Pine-Richland started the season with a 2-1 loss to Bishop Canevin in a rematch of their Penguins Cup quarterfinal matchup last season, which the Rams won.

But since then, Pine-Richland has won three straight games to tie Hampton at the top of the Section 4-AA standings with six points.

Zach Richey and Dillon Kessy have been two of the biggest reasons for the three-game winning streak.
The duo has combined for 10 goals and 11 assists in the three games. Richey has scored a hat trick in two of the three games.

For the season, Richey is tied for third in Class AA with 12 points, while Kessy is tied for fifth place with 11 points.

The Rams will try for their fourth-straight win Monday against 1-4 Kiski Area.
