"The past two seasons the Pine-Richland girls' lacrosse team was just like most of the others in the WPIAL in that its season ended before the playoffs started.

Injury-plagued campaigns ensured the Rams playing days were over by the second week of May as they combined to go 9-23 in 2010 and '11.

This year was much different, however. Pine-Richland was the last district high school girls' lacrosse team standing.

Pine-Richland finished its season with an impressive 17-4 won-loss ledger, setting a program record for wins in a season. It went a perfect 9-0 in section play for the first time in program history."
