Alumni Update - Brendan Scioscia (Waynesburg)
After helping to lead the Waynesburg baseball team to a 22-19 overall record and a berth into the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference South tournament, senior catcher Brendan Scioscia, a Pine-Richland High School graduate, was honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association a member of its 2012 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region Team.Scioscia picked up a third-team nod after leading the Jackets in batting average (.397), doubles (14), on-base percentage (.509) and walks (28), while also ranking second in slugging (.548), second in runs scored (32) and third in RBI (30). He ranked sixth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference in batting average, sixth in slugging, second in on-base percentage, second in doubles and first in walks.
Scioscia was also the first player in Waynesburg history to be named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week and was also honored with his second-straight first-team All-PAC selection.
