Girls Lacrosse: North Feature Athlete - Pine-Richland's Brittany Byerly

Written by Joe Koch on .

Name: Brittany Byerly
School: Pine-Richland
Grade: 12
Sport: Girls Lacrosse

Background Info: Brittany is a four-year starter and is a two-year captain. She will play NCAA Division I lacrosse next year at Robert Morris University. Brittany also was a member of the Pine-Richland girls basketball team that competed in the PIAA Class AAAA girls basketball tournament. Through 12 games, she had scored 54 goals, four of them against No. 1 Peters Township in a 13-10 loss last Monday.

Quote from coach Tori Trombetta: "Brittany is a huge asset to the program. I've had the privilege of coaching her since her freshman year. She made a huge impact even then. Last year, she was injured, and that was a huge setback for our team. Not having her on the field hurt. When she's on the field, it's almost like there's another coach out there. That makes it easier on me, so we're going to miss her next year. She's a great athlete."
