Alumni Update - Jordan Jankowski (Greeneville Astros)

It would hard to have a better start to a professional baseball career than Jordan Jankowski is enjoying.

The right-handed reliever from Peters Township High School has notched three wins in his first five relief appearances for the Houston Astros' rookie-level Greeneville farm club in the Appalachian League. In addition to a 3-0 record, he has a fine 1.23 ERA.

Jankowski, 23, was the Astros' 34th-round draft pick last month from Catawba College. The Astros also used their 34th-round pick on Jankowski following his senior season at Peters Township in 2008 but he did not sign.
