Alumni Update - Dan Simon (Penn State Behrend)
Penn State Behrned senior Dan Simon was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week.
Simon, a Penn-Trafford High School graduate, was part of four winning events that broke pool records at the Fredonia State Blue Devils Invitational.
Individually, Simon won the 100 backstroke in a time of 51.86 and came in second for the 200 backstroke and 50 freestyle. He then joined three relays, including the 400 medley relay where he set the NCAA B cut time in the leadoff backstroke with a time of 51.66.
Simon’s efforts helped the Lions take the title in the eight-team event.
