Alumni Update - Chansler Poole (Saint Vincent)

Saint Vincent junior Chansler Poole qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championships by finishing 12th in a field of 343 runners at the Mideast Regional at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa.

Poole, a Penn-Trafford High School graduate, finished with a time of 25:44 on the eight-kilometer course, 35 seconds off the lead. It marked the second time in his career that he has qualified for the National Championships, with his last time being as a freshman in 2010.

With his finish, he earned All-Region honors from the United Stats Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association.

The National Championships will take place Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind., at the LaVern Gibson Course.
