Falscino started last week on the mound, recording four strikeouts in four innings as the Chargers thumped Northgate 16-1. At the plate, Falascino was successful as well, hitting a pair of home runs and driving home five runs.

OLSH’s Kocent competing in both baseball and track, make-up meet tomorrow

Written by Cara De Carlo on .

The OLSH track team has drawn running talent from its WPIAL champion cross country team.

“Matt Haupt and Dom DeSalle are out for track,” said Coach Bob Berg.  He said that although three members of OLSH’s “Wolf Pack” cross country squad were participating in other sports and activities this spring, Nick Kocent was taking an even more original path. Kocent will compete in both baseball and track for OLSH.

In other news, the Chargers have not let the bad weather slow them down. “We’ve done two scrimmages with Moon,” said Berg. “They went pretty well.”

OLSH was supposed to have a meet with Freedom Area on Monday (March 25), but it has been postponed for tomorrow. It’s alright, though. Berg explained that the team is ready to roll with anything.

“We’re pretty much like any other team,” he said. “We don’t really have a track per se – but we’ll run around the school.”

Tommorrow’s meet for OLSH will be at Freedom. The Chargers will compete against Freedom, Ellis School, Summit Academy, and possibly Cornell.
