Report: Obama team shows success in first game plus weekend baseball schedule notes

A detailed report in the Obama Eagle has noted the team’s potential in the early going.  The game took place on Monday (April 9), and the article reported that the Eagles defeated the visiting Oliver team 17-2. The report noted that the Obama team had good offensive contributions from Dan Wimer (three hits, 5RBI and Horace Pope (two hits). To accompany the beginning of City League baseball play, it should be noted that Obama plays at Carrick tomorrow (Friday, April 13) at Carrick. Carrick lost to South Allegheny 7-0 on March 26 and is playing Brashear today (April 12).  Other City League Friday baseball games of interest include:
