Norwin hockey team getting plenty of offensive contributions
Coming into the season, most expected Norwin senior Dan Merz to score a lot of goals. Merz lit the lamp 22 times last season.
But it hasn’t just been Merz scoring for the Knights this season.
Merz has five goals and six points, but after two games two other Knights have just as many points — Marc Swankler (four goals, two assists) and Alex Moxie (three goals, three assists). Timothy Palmer has added three goals and two assists.
The Knights, who won the preseason Greensburg Central Catholic tournament, are currently 1-1 with a win over Penn-Trafford and a loss to State College.
The Knights will play the defending Class AAA Penguins Cup champion, Bethel Park, tonight at 8:20 p.m.
