Alumni Update - Chrissy Marcius (Washington & Jefferson)

MarciusChrissy_copy_copyWashington & Jefferson senior Chrissy Marcius was selected to the 2012 Capital One Academic NCAA Division III All-District 4 Women’s Soccer Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

District 4 is made up of all NCAA Division III women’s soccer programs across Pennsylvania.   

Marcius, a child development education major with a 3.53 GPA, earned a place on the All-District Team for the second consecutive year.

On the field, the Norwin High School graduate finished second in the PAC and tied for sixth in the nation, while matching her own school record with 14 assists. She was the league’s fourth-leading scorer with 34 points and added 10 goals.

Marcius concluded her W&J soccer career second all-time in assists (32) and fourth in points (96) and goals (32).

As members of the All-District First Team each player will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
