Norwin softball team crashing the party in Section 1-AAAA
In softball, Section 1-AAAA has primarily been a two-team party for the past five years. Hempfield and Latrobe have won or shared the section crown each of the past five seasons and even won three of the past five WPIAL Class AAAA titles.

The Knights are all alone atop the section standings at 6-0, ahead of Hempfield (6-1), Latrobe (5-2) and Penn-Trafford (4-4).
Norwin already owns wins over Hempfield and Latrobe but they have to visit both teams in the second half of the season.
