Alumni Update - Pat Trettel (Normal CornBelters)

North Allegheny High School graduate Pat Trettel has become a veteran of the independent Frontier League.

The 25-year-old catcher is in his third Frontier League season and his first with Normal. He is hitting .242 with five home runs and 18 RBIs in 43 games.

Trettel, who starred at Seton Hill University, was Lincoln's Rookie of the Year in 2010 when he had 11 home runs and a .277 batting average in 38 games. He also made Baseball America's list of top 10 independent league prospects.

Last season, he hit .237 with 12 doubles and 33 RBIs in 58 games with Lincoln.
